My busy season has officially begun, but I’m not going to let that stop me from sharing one last sweet family I had the honor of meeting over the summer. They welcomed their pretty girl, Rowan, and it was an honor to capture just a glimpse of their new season of life with her in their home, right before they moved. There’s something really special about the home you start your family in and bring your baby home to, so I’m so glad they decided to have these moments captured even in the midst of packing and boxes stacked throughout the house. To me, it will make these photos that more special.
It’s not hard to tell that mom and dad are just smitten over their baby girl (especially dad, I think). :) Just look at her.. I think it’s impossible not to be! Rowan was SO good, calm, and had the sweetest little temperament throughout her photo session. These three made my job a piece of cake!
Becoming a parent is the start of such an amazing adventure. I’m learning that each stage brings new challenges, but new joys as well. Each season gets sweeter than the last as you build memories with the ones you love most in life. But the beginning… It’s just so special. It can be easy to forget through the long nights, the exhausting days, the doctor’s appointments and weeks upon months of living in “survival” mode. It may not feel beautiful at times, but that’s where my job comes in. I hope I can give all families a reminder of how special their days together are and just how beautiful it is, even if it feels a bit messy at times.
